Can I Monitor My Students’ Course Progress and How They Are Using Corsmed’s Simulator?

Short answer

Yes. As a teacher, you can get detailed real-time data about how each of your students is using Corsmed’s simulator. You can also monitor each student’s progress on every course/module on the platform.

To find this data, log into the Corsmed platform (assuming you have a Corsmed teacher license) and click on the “Students” tab. Here, you will see an overview of all your students.

To see more detailed data about specific student, click on the student’s “View” button.

This will open a section where you can see:

  1. When the student last logged into the Corsmed platform.
  2. How many modules/courses the student has completed.
  3. The total number of MRI pulse sequences the student has run on the simulator.
  4. The total the student has have spent in the simulator (Session time).
  5. The total time the student has spent performing simulations while in the simulator (Simulation time).

Under the “Course progress” tab, you will also see all the courses/modules that have been assigned to the student, and their progress on each module, including:

  • The total time the student has spent on each module.
  • What grade the student got on each module.
  • How many attempts the student made on each module.
  • The student’s progress on each module. Modules can be in one of the following 6 progress stages:
    1. Unopened (white): The student has not opened the module yet.
    2. Started (white): The student has opened the module.
    3. Submitted (yellow): The student has performed the simulation assignments in the module and has clicked on Submit for Review button.
    4. Partially Graded (yellow): A teacher (either you or someone else on your staff) has started reviewing and grading the assignments in the module.
    5. Graded (grey): A teacher has completed reviewing and grading all assignments, but they can still edit it.
    6. Published (green): A teacher has published the review and grades of all assignments in the module for students to see. Once published, the feedback can no longer be edited.

Under the “Pulse sequences” tab, you will see all the MRI pulse sequences that the student has run on the simulator.

By clicking on the “View” button for a specific sequence, you can see the resulting images produced by that MRI sequence – as well as what parameters and slice positions the student used to generate those images.

You can also give your feedback on the sequence, so your student learns what they should work on in improving in the future.

Conclusion

As a teacher, you can get detailed data about how each student is using Corsmed’s simulator – and their current progress on every course/module on the training platform.

You can even view and give feedback on every individual MRI pulse sequence that each student has run. This lets you see in detail what parameters the student used, what the resulting image was, and how optimized the sequence was.
